Elie

A few photos of one of my favourite spots in the East neuk of Fife – Elie. What the photos do not show is just how windy and cold it was.

Barns Ness Lighthouse

A few recent images of Barns Ness lighthouse. This is one of my favoured spots close to Edinburgh for walking. I particularly like the last, low key, image, it sort of captures the essence of the place.

Early Morning Portsoy

portsoy1Beautifully peaceful, only saw three or four people on this morning’s foray…

Portsoy

BB is off on his travels again. Bondwoman is taking some time out to write, and BB wants to get to know his camera just a wee bit better, so we headed off to Portsoy for a couple of weeks. No distractions, beautiful surroundings (more than can, at present, be said about the weather) and plenty of subject matter for BB to play with. Here are just a few from this mornin’s brief foray to the harbour.

The Forth Rail Bridge – Naked

forth rail bridge nakedAfter many years of being clad in scaffolding and various wrappings it is so good to see this marvel of engineering in all of its naked glory now that the work of repainting has finished.

Leith 8:30am 2

leith 8 30amI just love the winter sunrises, that low directional light makes them quite something else. This is very much a repeat of the same view from five/six days ago, which shows just how different each individual sunrise can be.
